There are a great variety of theatre’s in Cambridge, offering something for everyone.

Set in the City centre, this historical venue offers everything from music concerts, musicals, comedy, opera and ballet. Seating over 1800 people and offering up to 300 different shows a year, there really is something for all the family here. A real favorite with Things To Do In Cambridge.

Attracting some of the highest quality touring companies in the country, The Arts offers a mix of drama, opera, dance and of course its famous Pantomime in December and January… one not to be missed!

This small theatre  is a department of The University and is home to Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club, along with other drama societies. During team time, there are normally two shows a night, one at 7.45 pm then 11 pm. Outside term time, the theatre holds one show a week.

3 Cambridge Shakespeare Festival

This popular outdoor summer festival runs in July and August and is set in various college gardens throughout the city. The performers are in full costume and use minimal props and lighting, the show starts at dusk, thereby creating a truly atmospheric and unique performance.  The Things To Do In Cambridge team love to take a picnic and really make it a special evening.

Open during the summer months. this open air German style Biergarten is set in the grounds of The Museum of Technology by the River Cam. Its open Friday,Saturday and Sundays from lunchtime through to the evenings and offers a good selection of beers, ciders and other goodies to drink.
