The Botanic Gardens opened in 1846 it has had plants from all around the world making it an inspiration for anyone with green fingers. The garden over the years has built up a reputation for having some weird and wonderful plants on display.
The 40-acre garden is open all year round with different plants to match the different seasons giving the garden a very seasonal feel. There is a large range of wildlife in the gardens and has become a hot spot for bird watchers.

Admission is free if you join the Friends of Cambridge University Botanic Gardens, if you are not a member it is £5.00 for an adult and free for children under 16.
