Welcoming visitors to the Great Court and the Chapel throughout most of the year, Trinity College, made up of almost 1,000 students, is an amazing place to visit. Princes, spies, poets and prime ministers have all been taught here and you’ll never be far from new information. A place full of interest and learning, Trinity College is a beautiful building with a lot of history that I’m sure you’ll be very intrigued to learn. With ramps for Great Court and the Chapel, visitors with disabilities can easily access the attractions too.

 Botanic Gardens

With 40 acres of plants from all over the world, the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens serves as an interesting day out for the whole family. The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival

Grantchester Meadows walk

On one of the few sunny days we have here in England, why not take a lovely, peaceful stroll through the Grantchester Meadows, which leads straight to the village centre. The walk, luckily, is almost entirely flat and should take approximately 2.5 to 3hours to complete the 6-mile round trip, enough time to have a nice catch-up with old friends or family. Along the way make sure you stop to take in the fabulous views and have the chance to paddle. A day full of nature and exercise all in one, what could be better!

Jesus Green

Don’t want to have to spend loads of money but still have a great day out? We’ve got you, how about taking a picnic to Jesus Park, where you can sit, eat and relax in the beautiful surroundings of the park. With a refreshments kiosk open throughout the year and a barbecue area with stones for the use of portable barbecues, Jesus Park is a great place to spend a day at with out spending a lot of money. It offers six tennis courts in the park and free table tennis, it’s a place where the kids can run free and enjoy a play area fit for all ages. Why not visit on a Sunday where, in the summer, there are bands playing. The small picnic area next to the river is also next to the fenced off play area for children so, parents,  you can watch the boats go by whilst still being confident that your child is safely playing.

Holy Sepulchre
